Armed raid at restaurant
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a Dudley restaurant.
Officers were called shortly after 9am on Sunday, May 11 to Nando's Restaurant in Castlegate Way.
A man had entered the restaurant and threatened a member of staff with a firearm.
No shots were fired and the man was not hurt.
The offender escaped with a large quantity of cash.
The raider is thought to be Asian, about 5ft 11in to 6ft tall. He was wearing a balaclava and carried the money out of the premises in a beige and dark green holdall.
He escaped in a waiting small blue or purple car, driven by a second man, who is also believed to be Asian.
The car has black trim down the sides and possibly has white wheels or wheel trims.
The car is believed to have left in the direction of Birmingham New Road, Burnt Tree Island junction.
Anyone with information is urged to call CID at Brierley Hill police station on 0845 113 5000.
