HIGHWAYS chiefs have warned motorists to expect congestion in Gornal due to road works taking place to fix a water leak.
South Staffordshire Water are undertaking repairs in Bull Street and temporary multi-way traffic signals have been installed at the junction of Himley Road (B4176).
Andrew Sumner, network manager for Dudley Council’s highways department, said: “Congestion is likely to be increased at this location whilst works are in progress.
“South Staffordshire Water have confirmed that they are manually operating the signals between 7am and 7pm to help alleviate congestion.”
The road works are expected to be taking place until Monday November 27.
